MSRP on Cooper rifles

I'm getting serious about a Cooper model 38 in 17 hornet and am wondering how realistic the retail price is. I don't mind paying a fair retail if that's the way it works, but I don't want to find out later that nobody pays list and I got took. Anybody bought a new rifle from Cooper that can give me a tip? Also, if anyone knows a dealer that is set up with Cooper that 'deals', let me know.

They're are one of the biggest volume gun shops in the U.S..and a Cooper dealer. IME, they are very hard to beat on prices.

If you are going to spend $2600 a few more really ain't going to matter..........I have a model 21 and it is real nice......
