What kind of bearing have you got in the auxilary support??.

Also, what is the best method to get the bolt head in perfect time with the extraction cycle of the bolt handle.??....jackie

Jackie: On the primary extraction, I measured from the front face of the bolt handle to the rear face of the locking lug. The new head is .003 shorter, and I now have full primary extraction
 
Great pictures! I may be a bit biased here seeings how Bob is my father but this is a guy who has never made a dime as a gunsmith or a machinest. A lot has been discussed about putting a Savage floating bolt head on a Remmy bolt but nobody seemed to know how to git'er done. Dad first drew up all the plans for tooling to make this happen and a couple weeks later it was done. Now if I could just figure out what I have to trade him to get that action! Great job Pops! Another work of art.
