I have a rem 700 bbl in 6mm . I cant seat bullets .010 of the lands because Box magazine is to short unless i want a single shot. Midway sells a extended box mag that will give me another .110 or so of length . Does anyone know if this will drop right in or if there is machine work required?
thanks

The back side of the magazine opening in the receiver has to be milled to accept the longer box. The bolt stop has to have the same amount milled from where the bolt lug meets it, so that the bolt will retract far enough to use the extra box length.

The included instructions are clear and the work is easy to accomplish using a 1/4" dia. endmill. Either the instructions or the Brownell's add (can't remember which) says that the material can be removed by milling or grinding...........although possible, grinding sounds like torture...both for the receiver and the nut behind the wheel.
