Model 70 Post 64 Date of Manufacture

I have a post 64 model 70 with a seriel number of G124XXXX. Have had no luck finding any date of manufacture info on post 64 Model 70's. Id like to know when it was made. Anyone here have any info ? Thanks in advance.

Thats around the serial no that winchester told me i had made in the 90's. I think theyre records are not very good in that era

Google "Winchester Model 70 Serial No. date of manufacture" , it will take you to a website for all Win. model manufacturing dates.

Looks like 1976 from this chart. No pre 64's used a G prefix, that I'm aware of.
