According to the rulebook for IBS the following things seem different than NBRSA;
-30-30 capacity
-magazine to hold 2 rds (don't know if "hold" means keep 'em down)
They too have done away with the trigger limitation compared to my older rulebook. NO trigger restrictions as I read it.
And BTW...... in either case, if I DO set the mag up to feed a round, can I? CAN I shoot repeater? And does the extra round(s) count against my weight?
I've never been to a HBR Match
Magazine feeding has always been and remains
illegal. The "old" rules required, "capable of holding
AND feeding two rounds" - that went away around the mid-90s. Still, we must have the slot - never have understood that!
For Hunter Class, NBRSA removed both [minimum] caliber and case capacity restrictions about five years ago, for a " 3 year trial period" - after two years, this change, was voted into permanency beginning 2016. So, yes, just about any cartridge is legal - I believe the top end limit remains .45 Cal. - I once shot beside a fellow using a .460 Wby. Mag!
Going back, to, at least, 1992 (NBRSA), there have been no trigger restrictions, including the, "operable safety", requirement.
I'm pretty rusty on the equipment rules . . . all of my (Hunter Class) stuff would be legal under all of the rules (IBS/NBRSA) going back to 1990 or so. The salient features remain: 10 Lb. weight limit; 6X scope limit (or, variable set and taped at 6x); 2.25" fore-end width. RG
