Sat will be the first match of the Mich Challenge for 2010. It is a 200yd/300yd score match and costs will be $15 per yardage. Gates will be open at 7 am. Bring a lunch. Match starts at 9 am. Shooting 300yds is quite a challenge and alot of fun. Wind can be a challenge at 300 but is usually readable. This was proven two weeks ago when Frances shot a 248 with 6x. Hopefully someone will top his score this weekend. Range will be open Friday afternoon for practice if anyone is interested. Hope to see you all there.

Tom,

Francis, and Eric and I plan on being there and ready for the 200/300 at Iosco Oscoda. This is the first of the Michigan Score Series Matches and I Plan on attending all of Registered (IBS or NBRSA)Score Series matches. I heard that Matt Gu3 was planning on being there, hope so because I will be bringing a box of goodies for him. We shall see, and I hope the weather holds out like it did last week.

with bells on

I'll be there looking forward to taking some lessons from the rest of you. I had some issues with my .30 so I may have to shoot the 6. Either way I'm sure I will enjoy the day.

Ok, let me think how this went this weekend....

Friday, a number of top notch first class shooters from Michigan showed up at Oscoda and helped Tom get everything ready for Saturday. Then we retired to the local Mom and Pop Greek Kitchen for dinner.

Saturday we Returned to the range and more Top Notch First class michigan Shooters showed up to shoot the 200 and 300 Yard Michigan Score Championship Series Match. Eric Simmons won the 200 Yard IBS registered event, in some brutal conditions beating Michigans Top Notch 1st class shooters. The Matt Guthrie won the 300 Yard IBS Registered event beating Michigans top notch 1st class shooters, I believe Eric was second... I wasn't even close. When Grand aggregate was figured Eric was the Top Dog (Yale HS bulldogs), and the only records that were threatened were the record high winds and the record low temps. Francis is still holding the 300 yard range and state record for IBS Score. Tom Majewski ran a heck of a match, and shot too. Kevin was a great target runner, especially in those conditions, (I think many targets required 8 tacks to stay in place). Jim Dyke's rifle was really shooting well and looking good too, love those Ghost flames. We had a great time and the next match is June 12 for 100, and 200 yard registered Score.
