who and what are the meyer actions?
saw one on the gun list of bob whites adds.are they the same as a man in the new England states from back in the early 70s?

If it's the one I'm thinking of, they were made by Jimmy Meyer years ago. Solidly built, they ran horizontal lugs and were patterned like a Hall (the lugs were roughly the same diameter as the bolt, meaning no continuous raceway)
