The weather was hot as hades for the match today but the conditions were overall pretty good with light winds with less switchs and gust than usual for the rock but you could get caught if you weren't paying attention. We had a light crowd today only 7 VFS and 5 factory guns. Phil Lewis was wearing us out until cuz'n Roy got inside of him on the last lap and Phil hit the wall twice( there was some debate on whether Roy put a fender on him or not) :)Roy put on a last lap pass with a 50-4x target for the win w 250-11x score, Charles Ellerston was 2nd w 250-5x and Phil limped home 3rd with the fenders hanging off at 248-10x, Dale Avery was 4th w 248-10x also. In Factory class Thomas Fee won w a 242-2x score, Paul Shaeffer was 2nd w 231-2x and Eric Lawson was 3rd w 222-1x. The competition commitee will meet on Tuesday to decide whether to penalize Roy for rough driving or not :). Thanks to all that came and all those that helped with the match.Good shooting everyone. See ya next month, Steve

Steve,
Thanks for having the courage to speak out about this.
With Cuz'n Roy being such a dominate figure at the Rock.

On that last lap when I first hit the wall dazed and confused was I.
My spotter did'nt say anything.
The second time it happened I knew something was going on.

Found out afterwards that there has been some ongoing dealings between
My spotter and Cuz'n Roy over a Sako .22-250.
Hmmmm !!!

Hopefully the competion commitee will get to the bottom of this. ;-)

Thanks to everyone who helped out and competed.
See yall July 24 for 100 yards.

Phil

Roy, can't pick on us losers -- that would be adding insult to injury.

Actually, there was some weird, unseen-to-most-of-us condition going on. I might have gotten caught too, except I was messing around on the sighter target when things went eastward. I plugged away at the sighter until it went away.
