It's was hot and humid for the match today, the conditions started out pretty mild and got more sporting as the day went along with a lot of switches with gusts and letups. You could get caught pretty easy. We had a good turnout with 22 guns, 16 VFS, 4 Mod and 2 factory. Gary Barefoot won VFS with a good 250-10X, Derrick Loflin was 2nd w 250-8X and Damon Loflin was 3rd w 250-5x. Kevin Lasley won modified w 247-6x and Kelly Hendrix was 2nd w 247-5x. Gary Graham won Factory with a very good 248-3x and Jessica Lasley was 2nd w 244-3x. Thanks to all that came to shoot and to all the folks that help put on the match. Help putting up and taking down the target frames is always appreciated, but it's really appreciated on days like this. See ya next month for the 100 yd match. PS. I don't know how many folks came from the north and came down 29S bypass around Danville but just after you get on the bypass was the biggest confederate flag I have ever seen, the pole had to be at least 100 ft. tall and the flag was at least 20ft long. It made this southern boys day to see the stars and bars flying so proudly. I don't know who is responsible for putting it up but I would like to shake his hand and say thanks for not bending to PC crap that is trying to erase our heritage.
