market price of a 36x br d

I looked on line, no recent sales.
I looked in the classifieds, none listed.
I see older ad's at $550.
A buddy wants one of mine that is just sitting.
I'll sell at a fair price, but not give it away.

Opinions ??

Sell it to him for $500. If he's really your buddy....$400. If he's a close friend just let him have it.

Eye relief is probably poor on that scope. If you could get it fixed back like it was and save money it might be a good buy.

Regular scope you can send back to leupold- $550. Tucker, jlc, siebert mods- harder to sell. I sold 26 br scopes last yr and i was selling tucker/premier 36br-d scopes for $500 none for less most for more

Believe it or not, the eye relief on the Leu. 36x scopes bumped to 45x is actually longer! The down side is the exit pupil of light is EXTREMELY narrow, so you must have your eye in just the right place or you are looking into a black hole. When Del Bishop was alive and actively shooting the converted 36x was all he shot. We used to laugh like hell when he'd let some newbie try his rifle, the poor guy just could not find where to position his head behind the scope, and see the target.

I have to believe it because I don't know much about optics. There is a trade off though and I'm glad you said what it is. Thanks a bunch!
