I received my MAK XC from Kevin MacDonald on Friday........ http://www.tubegun.net/
Twenty minutes later I had my Remington 700 / Kreiger 6BR bench rifle torn apart and installed into the MAK. I did not glue the action in at this point. Simply ground down the recoil lug to let the forend slide over it and used the two action screws to secure the Rem 700 into the MAK kit.
I mounted up a Weaver T-36 and went to the range. First five shots out of a cleam barrel showed .221 at 100 yds! Four shots were in one hole! All subsequent 5 shot groups were well under .400.
The rifle shot well in the Tooley MBR stock it was wearing, but every once in a while it would throw a flier. During the entire shooting session with the MAK, it never threw a flier.
I'm sold!
