Bruce LaChapelle (hope I spelled it correctly) won the 2-Gun at Mainville. congratulations Bruce great shooting. This was also Bruce's first 2-Gun.:D You are ready for the Nationals - good luck. Thanks to Bob, Edna & Craig White for these matches. Also to the Boy Scouts who are our target crew. They do one heck of a job. And last but not least to Bill Creasy our Range Master who did an outstanding job of keeping everthing running smooth. See you all at the Nationals.

Not only did he win his first 2 gun but it was who he beat to win it! A hall of fame shooter from the west by the name of Lester Bruno. Great shooting Bruce!

Not to mention that Lester won the 100 yd LV w a 19 agg and he won the LV 200 w a 19 agg and had a 19 LV grand. Now that is some dang fine shooting. Looks like he is ready for the nationals as well.

Congrats Bruce...good shooting. Many of you may not know that Bruce is also a gunsmith and does work for some top shooters. If you looking for a good gunsmith over in the east, he's very good. I know he smithed Lee Euber's gun that won the supershoot a few years back. He's a very nice guy and great to talk to. Hope to see you soon Bruce.

I have congratulated Bruce personally but feel the need to go public on this one.
I have known Bruce since I started shooting and he has always been a role model BR shooter to me.Always pleasant, upbeat and helpful, and always competitive. He puts his family and work 1st in his life and when that is squared away he shoots BR, and does it quite well. I have followed Bruce on bench rotations and watched him shoot at more than one big match ( including the disasterous 200yd HV relay 5 at Kelblys in '07, where he came off the line still pumped with adrenaline and with a big smile on his face) and have learned the essence of this game and the spirit of our participation in it from him. Bruce has had that kind of impact on everyone that has ever shot with him. If the "Hall of fame"ever get's a real address, I would hope to see a smiling Bruce LaChapelle photo on the wall.
