This match was held, as it always has been, at the Orrington range for 100/200 on Saturday and Sunday and at Lincoln County Rifle Club for the 300 yard leg on Monday.
Conditions were wet and cool on Saturday, a beautiful sunny Sunday for the 200 yard agg and a cold and VERY windy Monday for 300...not untypical of LCRC range. Most competitors were clothed in snowmobile suits or layered with sweaters and jackets on Monday. The wind played tricks on everyone with lots of velocity and extremely quick switches. Lots of nines and many 8s. It was tough to figure and when you though you had a line on it, well, you plunked a 9 down. Fun was had by all that I can see and both ranges thank all competitors from far and near for attending and contributing to a very enjoyable weekend. Full results to follow but here are the two grand agg winners
Vfs John Cascarino 745-29X. John shot clean at 100 and 200 and only dropped 5 at 300. Very impressive for the conditions
Six Power Randy Jarvais 732-13X. Just a plain ol tough weekend for a six power shooter but he held in there and bested the field.
Congrats to both!
