I need your recomendations for a good lug recess cleaning tool!
The one I have is not doing a good enough job to suit me. The one I have is of braided cotton? felt? It just doesn't fit tight enough to do a good job.
I am breaking in a new rifle barrel , action and I want to make sure I do everything right! Perfect to a "T"
Any help and recomendations would sure be appreciated.
Thanks ahead of time!

I have found most lug cleaning tools not to work well for me especially on smaller actions like a little cooper I have, so I dopted my own method. Its quite hard to explain but I cut a 3x3 piece of rag and just the cleaning rod with a jag, wrap the cloth around the jag and push it into the chamber, give it a good swirling, when you are pulling it back out of the chamber the tails on the rag should catch up in the lug recess (sometimes a cotton bud helps to push them all in) and a good swirling will clean the lug recess up nicley. Its hard to explain but give it a go, it works for me.

Jack, You can make one real easy. Be sure and put a hole through the end instead of a "U" shaped slot. Get the cleaning mops from your dentist.
