Hey all,

I just got my schedule back and checked for the Army, and i will have 10 days off after basic training and am hoping to be able to go somewhere and do lots of shooting. I am wondering if anyone has ever shot prairie dogs as late as the 2nd or 3rd week of november, and if so did you see many? Basically, i am just trying to find somewhere to go shoot for 3-5 days where we can waste some ammo and make some memories. Money really isnt a concern, but i want to shoot a lot. If u have any suggestions or experience with this it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Kory

Yes, While the prairiedogs will be smarter in Nov. and probably be longer range. Prairiedogs will be out all year on nice sunny days. Maybe not a s thick as they would have been out earlier in the year. After all they probably have been thinned out by earlier shooters. They don't like cloudy days because it is harder for them to see other predators then. Especially the hawks. I would maybe pick more southern areas than Montana or S. Dak. Try Ks. or Southeatern Colo. or Maybe northwest TX or Okla. then. More pleasent for you then as well. Max
