Would like some advice on life of Lapua 223 brass,( bolt gun). What point can I expect degrading of groups,neck sizing only.
Lapua .223 brass life...
oldguy....I've used Lapua .223 Rem Match brass exclusively for the last 3 1/2 yrs. I get 25-30 reloads per case,but I don't use "hot" loads either. I have found Lapua FAR superior to any American made brass in all respects. Use Lapua and you won't go wrong. To me,Lapua is well worth the extra money.
I use Lapua only in my 2 bolt action rifles. Brass life in an autoloader is much,much less. Good luck...good shooting...gpoldblue

I used Lapua Brass in a Savage Model 12 LRPV in 223 Rem, after a year and a half (probably 20-25 loadings) the groups started to go south, got new Lapua Brass and it tightened right back up,,,,,,,,, then I bought a ken light annealing machine and ran the old brass thur it and BAM,,,,,,,,,, good as new,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,now I anneal every 2 or 3 loadings,,,,,,,,,

If you're ONLY NECK SIZING, I would expect everything to come to a standstill when you're eventually unable to close the bolt. At that point you won't be producing any groups at all. I guess that is your ultimate point of degradation.
When do you FULL LENGTH SIZE? Throw the neck sizer away and full length size each and every time you reload.

Thanks for the advice, as to full length size have always used that method only recently switched to neck and it appears to give better performance in my guns however you may be hinting full is better.
Also thanks for tip on ken light annealing machine will look into it.
