As a suggestion only, Cowan Rest owners might want to consider using these knobs on the Cowan Rest: http://www1.mscdirect.com/CGI/NNSRIT?PMPXNO=8190652&PMT4NO=71459599. I added them to mine.
They are much easier on the fingers, especially the finger tips, when applying pressure to the plates that push in on the sides of the front bag and DO NOT interfere with the windage adjustment when it is centered properly.
I also added similar knobs as caps to the rest legs by using high sheer strength epoxy to anchor them in place.
