just some questions on shipping of primers.

I am wondering what the laws are on shipping primers? I live in Wyoming and have a surplus of primers that I am pondering on selling, but do not know what is legal or not, any help is appreciated.

Works till you get caught, but if caught a person could conceivably have a serious problem. I don't know how much if any good ignorance does in a case like this.

You could try to sell them more local, or take them to a gun show, if the price is right they will not last long.

where in wy ??? i come up and do gun shows in rock springs, casper, chyenne and laramie .

what do you have , what do you want for them ?

and yes i agree shipping priority mail was just plain stupid..its an explosive that went by aircraft...way dumb.

I live near Cody, I have 15k 215m, 15k 210m, 5k 205m, 15k wolf large and small, and 15k of the old PMC large rifle.

i sell wolf got 21/23/k...same for the old pmc..its the same thing.

the feds will be an issue....there is a guy at most of the shows i have mentioned, he over paid for a bunch and is trying to dump them..and cannot sell them....

take them to a match ?
i don't find many loaders up there..or they buy american....
i do well with primers in denver/colo sprs/and pueblo.
sold close to 40 k this last weekend in denver.

Generally, a private party cannot ship primers. You can't just take them to the UPS terminal and ship them. The shipper has to be licensed and bonded to "know" how to package them etc. It is pretty tough to sell primers other than face-to-face.

It may be possible to find someone who will ship them for you but not likely. It's pretty dumb to ship them USPS, those postal inspectors have no sense of humor when it comes to hazardous stuff!

Ron, you know where I live...... we have hundreds of UPS outlets within driving distance and in two years of looking I've found exactly ONE that ships primers. It's an hour away from me and an industrial complex not a UPS drop.

I have a few bricks I'd like to send back but I've decided to let my kid cook 'em out for explosive detonators, it's cheaper!

Here's hoping you luck into a local shipper with the proper training.

And willing.
