I'm not sure just yet, Just had my Bi-cep tendan reattached to the bone with screws. In a brace right now for 9 - 12 weeks. Not supposed to be shooting, but i had load testing to do, So i went out today. Did'nt feel to bad. Had trouble getting in the triggerguard and on the trigger the way i like. Might be there in Sept.
 
Ripped mine loose doin' 16 oz curls when I was your age. Have switched to 12oz longneck dumbells and haven't had a problem in 15 years.
