Indiana UBR match

Hillside Shooting Sports will be hosting a 200 yard UBR match on June 12 @ 10:00 am

Hillside is a fairly new 1000k yard range with concrete benches located near FT Wayne, IN

Bob and Hillside are going to push this. There are several good shooters within a 2hr drive in Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan to make this a great match. I know 2 who will be there
 
Don't understand ubr. Easter Region has a match on the same date. East-West also.

I could make a guess. In our area (Middle TN-Southern KY) most of the UBR shooters aren't group shooters. I do know that none of our regulars will be at either of the matches you mention. I believe only a handful of UBR shooters (less than a dozen) went to the Super Shoot. Also, since UBR matches are for the most part held at any given range once a month a match director can't really do a schedule that avoids all the other matches being held on a particular W/E. If that match won't work for you that's understandable, but what I'm sure Bob is going to build is a regular monthly match that will grow a dedicated group of regular participants. That's what we have here and we have between 25 and 30 rifles every month. Ya gotta start somewhere.

I know this is an older post, but just wanted to add my support to the hillside matches.
Iam a newbie to Ubr at hillside, my 17 yo son has shot a match or 2 there. Bob and everyone at the matches I have attended have been nothing but completely helpful. I plan on bringing a couple friends with me in 2017. I think it will catch on, just need to give it sometime. I am hooked enough I just ordered a new Bartlein barrel, having it chambered in 30br, and all the accessories to load em up and a tuner to dial it in. Planning on making a trip or 2 down south to see how the guys down there do it. Plan on shooting at farmland also when they have there shoots also. Any bullet recommendations.

Glad to hear that, hopefully Hillside will get more shooters for UBR next year. Our matches at Farmland are 3rd Saturday of month at 10:00 except June is 2nd Saturday. I'll be glad to help you with any ?s on Farmland
 
Congrats on the good matches at Hillsdale. I had hoped to make it up to al least one, but there was just too much going on here. I would suggest you try and make a match at BGSL. They are not that far from you and have matches on Sunday, which makes it easier to fit in with all the Saturday matches. The next closest will probably be Two Brothers near Auburn KY. We will be shooting there on the 1st Saturday of every month. You will be welcome.
