Identify Stock

Can you identify the maker of this stock? Seems to be a strip of birch in the middle and maybe cedar on the sides. It is very wide in the area of the action and tang and slopes sharply to a narrow butt. Overall length is 3.5 to 4 inches longer than "normal". Very nice in the bags. Would like to know what it is. Thanks ...

My father has one and it is as P. Ericson states... a Franklin BR2000 or a West br2000 depending on when it was made. My father has a laminate in desert camo and it tracks very well. Meant for the free recoil shooter for sure.

Thanks, P.Ericson. The West stock has some differences, but it sure does appear mine was at least based on the design. Mine doesn't have the low-height fore end, the laminations are simpler, but everything else looks the same.

Mike, thanks for the note on your Dad's gun. This is my first 6 PPC and I am impressed.

It is a redwood and curley maple laminate made by Greg West on the Br2000 design. I know because it used to be mine.
