I know this isn't the proper place for this but i couldnt get on the new classifieds. Probably my lap top. Anyway i have been looking for a Leupold 36x D benchrest scope. If someone has a spare please let me know. I would require a 1/8th dot reticle. thanks Lee

Lee,
I saw your comments on 6mmBR when someone responded to your same request, when they told you the price you bulked!! You need to check several places like Bruno's shooters supply, shooters Corner etc. because the price of a used one is pricy! you should expect to pay somewhere between 475.00-600.00! I shipped a Rail gun last year and UPS destroyed the oak box and bent the scope which was a 36D silver, the insurance company pissed and moaned about the cost of a discontinued scope but finally ponied up the $550.00 to buy a used one! So get out all your lunch money you saved in high school ? lol

i have 550 budgeted for the scope. If its a really nice one i will go 600. There was a fella on 6br that has a couple brand new ones for 700. That would be great to have but i cant afford to pay that much. I do a lot of research so i usually know what something is going to cost me. There was a fella that told me were one was, but the phone number he gave me was to a women's shelter or something like that. I kinda thought that was funny and it made me laugh. I dont know if he did that intentionally or not, but it was still funny!!
It seems to me that a month ago they were everywhere and now i cant seem to find one in my price range? Go figure!! Thanks fellas. Lee

Leupold 36x....

skeetlee....For NO charge,Leupold will go through the scope & make necessary repairs on a used scope. They will also refinish the scope too for no charge. When you get it back,it will be as good as a new one. You DO NOT have to be the original owner or show warranty proof.
Good luck...good shooting...gpoldblue

i didnt know that they would refinish a scope for you. That's good to know!! I like the wide field of view of the 36X. I can see my last flag through the glass, not to mention the clarity of the glass. I personally think the 36X is they way to go. I do love my new 45x comp scope, but i still think the 36X is the better value. But thats just my opinion, and believe me it isnt worth much! Let me know if you have the low down on one. thanks Lee

Skeet

The 36BR and 36BR-D have commanded a premium price for some time now. I doubt you will find one for less than $500.

Many still wonder why Leupold stopped production in the first place........jackie

You're not wrong.

I picked up a 24 a few years back & use it on an F/TR rilfe. It's never let me down & the sight picture is clear & sharp, not yellow like all their new stuff. I've been trying for a 36 for over a year now without any luck.

Lee,
If you can go to gunbroker.com, there's a blue BR-36 Leupold up for auction. there are no bids on it and and no reserve, plus a buy now price of $550! Get to the scope section, then type in Leupold and when the list comes up go to page 14 and its midway down the page.

I have one

great shape works perfectly, absolutely clear, holds POI, 1/8 dot. $550.00 plus shipping. Slight longitudinal ring marks.

Buy a NEW Weaver 36X for $389.95 from Bruno's. You'll be money ahead ... and get great scope at the same time. ;)

Mr Lewis has just what i need!! Thanks fellas!! Lee

Although i do think the weaver is a nice scope, the Leupold is better. Leupold has better glass, better FOV, and a much better no questions asked warranty. How can you beat that!!! IMHO, you cant!!!
