I need a leupold 45x

Can anyone recommend were a guy needs to go to buy a new or even nice used Leupold 45x comp scope? I haven't ever bought a new scope so i dont really know who the go to folks are for new scopes. i have always bought used scopes so i have no dealings with this. Also was there some differences in the Leupold 45x comp scopes a few years ago compared to today's models? Seem to me i read something about staying away from the older ones? Is that a bunch of BS or what? Anyway i am needing to buy another so maybe some one here can steer me in the proper direction, or heck if someone has a nice used one that would probably be more my speed anyway. Thanks Lee

Skeet, i bought my 45x-45 from Lester. The 45x-45 is a 30mm scope. Latest improvements.

Are you going to get the dot or crosshairs?

not sure yet if i will go with a dot or cross hair. I really like the dot, but the dot on my current 45x comp Leupold is kinda big. I had to send it out for a smaller dot. Not sure about the cross hair scopes. never looked through one. I have a couple shoots coming up this weekend and the weekend after that so i will look through a couple and make my choice. So whats the differences (if any) between a 45 comp scope made 5 years ago and the ones they make currently? Was there some issues with the older 45x comp scopes. I have had several folks offer up some used scopes just like i am looking for, since posting this. Most of these fellas i know so i have no worries about anything like that. Just curious if there are or were any internal changes made over the last few years? thanks Lee
 
Fellas i am a little short on cash for a brand new one. Lester did have the best price. I think i will see what i can find on the used market. That seems to be more my speed anyway. I had a couple fellas already offer me one, but i cant seem to get back into contact with them. They are probably on there way south to Georgia for the match. Anyway if someone has a nice SOLID used Leupold 45x please let me know. thanks Lee
