Purchased a Rem. 700 Police, 308 Win., Mar. 21, NICS delay while OR State Police "figures out. Then staff at the gun shop twisted the reticle knob off the Leupold Mark 4, and it's back at Leupold for service/replacement.

I found dies, bullets. I have about 200 primers.

Loaded up 100 rds. Nothing special, Win. PP bullets, 150 gr., 42 gr. H4895, etc.

Waiting for Leupold.

Vanc. WA ???

Had a colleague ages ago watching steelheaders in a blizzard from the overpass on the Clackamas River, out of Oregon City. She looks at her hubby. They're both from Kansas.

"Must be one hell of a fish!"

If you've ever sprayed de-icer on your rod guides . . . :D

GEOOR,
That's a nice photo!
Where is it?
Where you located?

Centeral Oregon, overlooking So. Junction on the Deschutes River. Hwy 97at South Junction (Shaniko Jct.) head west on the gravel road I don't remember how many miles (circa 5), and you'll end up on a plateau with a 90 degree bend in the road to the south, running along a fenceline. ODOT gravel pit on the corner, and you can get at least 600 yards along the fenceline.

No traffic to speak of, and you can hear it / see it coming way before "range safety" becomes an issue.

Everyone is headed down into the canyon to fish on the river. No one camps up here on the plateau.

(In the summer you can't build a fire or smoke. Camp stove is OK.)

I'm in Astoria, No. Oregon Coast -- where it rains, even on the "good days."

George, I have been to Astoria. Beautiful area. At the mouth of the Columbia River and near where Louis and Clark spent the winter. There are some great places to eat in your town. You have more rain in your area in a week than we do in a year. It isn't fair but it is different.

Good shooting,

Concho Bill

It used to be a great place for the antique hunter, lots of shops. My wife darn near had me in the poorhouse. Glad I wasn't driving the truck.

Just took my house off the market. It wasn't moving. What the tourists call "antiques" we have heaps in the barns, shops . . . landfills. *S*
