I bought a used Farley rest that operates fine, except for sticking. When trying to move the cross hairs that last red whatca-ma-call-it hair, it jumps twice what you need. Adjusting the tension screws didn't help.
I would like to clean out the old lube and put in bike grease as Butch Lambert suggests. My problem is what to disassemble to accomplish that. I don't want to remove the wrong thing and have parts shoot all over the shop.
One of you fellows posted that you 'flush' the works somehow before each shoot. Where and what is squirted?
It would be nice if this went smoothly and not turn out to be a huge learning experience.
