How is 600 yard "overall" computed?

The only time I ever shot 600 yards, the two-gun was computed by combining the placements of the individual guns, lowest number wins. (That's how 1,000 works, too). If there is a tie, the shooter with the smallest group (agg) wins the tiebreaker.

OK, they just posted the 600 yard Nationals on the IBS site.

Mike Hanes got 5th for group, 1st for score, total of 6 points.
Steven Hall got 3rd for group, 3rd for score, total of 6 points.

So, Steven Hall had the smaller group agg, but Mike Hanes got 2nd place & Steven Hall 3rd.

I'm obviously missing something...

all 4 numbers are added together

if you look at the results

Steve light gun was 11 & 25 Hg 1 & 4 total 41

mike light gun 1 & 1 hg 4 & 19 total 25

Ah, thanks. So the place numbers in the "Overall Top Gun" Panel are not really used.

I noticed too that Darell Dacus' gunsmith was "DQ". Somebody might suggest to him/her that's an unfortunate moniker fro a gunsmith...

Not sure where you see the DQ Darrell was 8th overall

Pardon my stupidness, but what the hell are you talking about?
