Hot Weather, But Good Turnout at Tomball

I guess 100+ degree weather can't keep a bunch of Texas Shooters from having a good time. We had a good turn out of 43 shooters for our Club Match this morning.

The only dissapointment was we had no shooters in the Factory Class. I truly wish we could get more shooters with Factory Rifles to come out and introduced themselves to this Format. The results:

Modified Class:
Scott Deal.........250 13x
Glen Oakes........250 11x
Bill Strange........240 5x

Benchrest Class:
Dwayne Pullum....250 21x
Geramo Villareal...250 20x
Mike Wickizer.......250 19x
Nick Marino..........250 19x
Gary Walters........250 18x
Andrei Loghin.......250 18x

Of the 34 shooters in the Benchrest Class, only half stayed "clean", a testament to how tough a range Tomball can be.

Thanks to all of the shooters who came out and help support our Matches.

Our final Club Match of the season will be Oct 2. I guarantee it WILL NOT be 100 degrees........jackie

Good shooting Scott and Dwayne; as well as all the rest of you.
Looks like Dwayne has made himself into a force to be reckoned with. This win after his performance in the recent registered matches puts him "on a roll".

"We had a good turn out of 43 "

Been to registered shoots with less than that...!

cale, shooters seem to like this Format, the entry fee is just $15, for that you get to shoot five targets plus a warmup, if you came from out of town, we are through with plenty of time for a easy drive home, and we keep it as informal as possible while still maintaining the feel and atmosphere of a "real Benchrest Match".

That, and the competition is stiff. You still have to hit that little dot. We are drawing the best Score Shooters in the area, shooters who have the finest in equipment, and and are dedicated to excellence. As long as Shooters are willing to participate, we will strive to give them a place to shoot.........jackie

Jackie,

I appreciate the nod, but my modified score was 240 5X. There were a bunch of good scores yesterday for sure, but I still hit 10 9-rings. Mirage is my excuse...Or was it wind? It was a pleasure to shoot next to Mike Cockroft and Stick Starks. I learned quite a bit just listening to them. It was another fun shoot thanks to your efforts.
