A good friend has several dozen long guns he no longer uses.He would like to sell them but has no idea of their value. What is the best way to ascertain their value?

Put them on Gunbroker with a no reserve $1.00 starting bid and in 7 days he will have his answers.

The "Blue Book of Gun Values" is a good place to start. I would also check the online sales of such sites as 1)Auction Arms, 2)GunBroker and 3)GunsAmerica. In guns, like stamps and coins, condition means a lot. The difference between a 95% gun and a 98% gun may be subtle. If you're talking shooters here, then I would ask a little more and be prepared to bargain and accept less. FWIW
