Anybody use make-up remover sponges to aid in cleaning there guns?
IT is the cats meeeeeooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
If you get the wedge shaped sponges it helps to get into the various tight spots that are tough to get into with rolled or folded patches. Godd example is the groove between the scope mount and the top of the receiver in a Rem 700. No rust gonna happen to my toys...........
It appears to hold, Butch's, Kroil, lighter fluid without breaking down.
What I like the best is the lack of lint when wiping the guns down unlike using a cloth or patch with oil. They ALWAYS leave lint behind. Just try and wipe down a new Rem 700 SPS with that finish on the barrel and receiver that looks textured, whatever it is called? Definately not hot blued?
Just thought I would share this. Have not heard any mention of it.
