Well I went to my first match this past weekend (local 100/200 yd group club shoot) as an observer only. MAN what a great bunch of guys. I've had problems with my new BR rifle and didn't have it ready for the match. I learned more at that local match than reading all my books combined!

After the match was over a couple of the guys that I had been talking to helped me with the problems I was having with the new gun, and I think we got it all worked out. I'm planning to compete in the next match (about a month from now).

After checking out all the rigs and gear that everybody was using my "wish list" tripled!

We had a guy do the same thing last Saturday at Riverbend's first match of the year. Hopefully we can get him out to compete in next month's score match.
 
Are you talking about the New Braunsfels match? I am a new shooter also and am shooting HBR, that was my first match with my new rifle. 200 yds is wild with a 6x scope.

I did the same thing last Sunday at the WWCCA match. Met some really good guys there. Now all I have to do is learn how to reload for this thing, and I will be seeing you guys at the matches.
