First 1000yd match

Well guys I decided to put my big boy pants on. Im going to Thunder Valley to check out my first 1000yd match. Anything I should pay attention to? What should I be looking for? Anybody going? I look forward to meeting lots of new faces.

I am an equipment nut.....I like shiny new things, so I would pay attention to the equipment. Not just actions/stocks/ect....but rests, bags, speed loaders...ect. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Mayby not while they are setting up, and certainly not when they are shooting. Most guys will talk your ear off the rest of the time.

Also, watch them actualy setting up thier equipment. Probably most important.....watch the shooters during the actual match. Check out how smooth and fast they are. Bag/bench manners is a HUGE factor for success!!!

Bring you hearing protectors and have fun.
 
I'd make............

sure there was a match. Seems if there is a graduation, football game, picnic, etc the match is canceled.
 
My grandsons and I are planning on coming up hope to see you there.I know I'am going to have a thousand questions (LOL)............Ben
 
There is a match...and NEVER has TVP in eight years cancelled a match. In eight years we have never called a match either..rain or shine....EVER.
If your refering to my earlier post about IF we or I cannot get anyone to run the 600 yard match on SUNDAY it would be cancelled. Why? Because your daughter only graduates ONCE from highschool and is excepted in Ohio's top nursing program she been in for a year now. THAT'S why it would be cancelled. I don't watch football and I don't picnic etc. If your going to post on a TVP thread say something that makes sense or stay off.

FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO COME TO OUR 1000 YARD MATCH ON SATURDAY AND 600 ON SUNDAY ITS ON!

how did the match go paul? we tried to come up for it but had car problems, maybe next time.

I don't see any results on the IBS site. Am I missing something?

nope, i think thats it. no results and no more matches this year. i been asking here what happened and now it is clear why no-one responded. from why i read it is no big loss.
 
I may not be looking at the right page but I see match 1 and match 2 results posted.

The posted match results were for March, not the referenced dates in the posts.

why after this rant do you post that the rest of the matches cancelled in snipers hole but you cant post here that there is no more matches this year?
