Firing pin spring

I have a bat 3lug thats about 6 years old and i was wondering if its time to replace
the firing pin spring.
The reason i ask is i was told that after 2 years there worn out and will start causing shots fall out of the group.. I think mine still shoots ok, but after looking at some targets
form the east-west this year im not sure. I had alot of 4 & 1s 4shots in a .150 and that 1 that made it a big .2 or.3 and the shots that killed the groups were low left on most of the targets.
Could this be a weak spring?

Call Bat and buy a new spring for $15.00, change the spring and see if it makes a difference. I pull mine at the end of each season and measure the length. If at the end of a season a spring is shorter then it was at the begining, I put a new one in for the next season. I don't see much sense in keeping the spring compressed out of season. Same for my trigger spring.
Good luck
