offered today (under 10x) if price is not a factor? Thanks...

sorry but a very silly question when you put a 10x limit on the question.
not much of a br question as most classes are high powered scopes or 6x.

no info on intended use...?? distance, hunting ,target ,air rifle................
fixed power, variable ,???/

this might be why there are few comments.

Finest rifle scope

WOW This should open a can of worms
modern scopes or antique or all other scopes?
Recoiling scopes? fixed power scopes?
Foreign scopes or domestic?

Probably the best " value" for a premium optic in that range might be the Leupold 4.5x-14x LRT's.

NOPE..U WENT OVER 10X....
stupid rules on a stupid question
and he asked for the best scope, not the best value...

no..you have to pretend it is a 4.5-9.9x....
(under 10x was teh requirement....sort of like outboards...
under 10 hp..so all kinds of 9.9's out there)

Easy, pretend it's a 4.5-10

again..not reading the rules...

UNDER 10X
( yes wilbur..i think the thread is dumb and some people cannot read...i will go away)

Unertle 10X recoiling target scope best glass that ive seen

I know what you mean Gerry. I may not call it the finest, but we have a 10x Unertl on a .22 Marciante Blue Streak. Wouldn't trade it for any current production glass. I love my March, but the nostalgia factor with Unertls is tough to beat.

Welcome Conrad. A little food for thought. It might not be quite a badge of honor to be mentioned in the same sentence with Mike.
