Have you tried the big barrel with loads up around 30 to 30.3 of 133. That oftentimes really wakes them up.
It is a 6BR with a Broughton Barrel 1:8 twist 28" long .
would not be a powder of choice for a 6BR imo. What are you shooting for powder and how much? N135, 8208, Norma 201 would be some to try, assuming you are shooting 65 to 68 grain bullets. With the fast twist are you shooting 90-105 gr bullets? If so Varget and other in that slower burning range would be good ones to try. Check bullet makers web sites for diameters. If not shown call or email them.
So the bullets you are shooting are 103-5 class ? next what is your free bore? and what is the free bore diameter? those are needed to know for a proper recommendation. Barts are right there on the shank but vary on the pressure ring on different bullets, but I have a .2438 free bore diameter and they all shoot out of it...... jim
lead is .088 , throat .075 , free bore dia is .2434 and a 1deg30. throat tapper is 0.174 long . This is off my drawing from Dave Kiff
No it is .075 and a total .088.... you are more suited for 80 gr. bullets except your free bore diameter is too tight...... jim
your looking at wrong things use 244 dia. With 7.5 ojive or 8 made millons yrs ago shot zero grps.on a barrel that i shoot in local gun club matches . When i clean the barrel the patch is really tight and on another gun i have that don't shoot quite as good the patch is really louse in it thought that if i had a bullet that was .0002 or .0003 bigger it may shoot better both barrels have around 500 rounds through them .
