WHO is the contact for F-bench regarding the rules.
Are NRA rules used, or a made up set of rules?
What target will be used?
How many relays, shots, etc.

Jerry

its nationals
nbrsa or whatever they call themselves
and at sacramento...
track record says rules will be made up after the match is atleast half over....

I saw that "for the most part" as well and was thinking the same thing.I did receive a packet from lou with the f-bench rules at the nationals and will read up on it to see how many are followed/broken.
Kind of ironic to get a packet of rules from lou.
Lynn

You will need at least three relays, one shooting, one scoring, one pulling targets

More questions:
How many sighters?
Time limit?
Will there be training for the target pullers?
There is nothing worse than a slow puller.

WRONG....
INDIVIDUAL BOARD MEMBER ACTIONS...NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES AGAIN...is why lynn may not be a member.
lynn did not cancel his membership and his standing in the club is not within its own rules.
dont know who you are, but you need to read more before making poor statements like this.

That's a non sequitur, Lynn.

Since you are--by your own doing--no longer a member of the NBRSA, perhaps you'll let a NBRSA member answer Jerrry's question?

Much appreciated,

RBD

if you would read more you would know.
tell me mr non sequitur....
what does shooting ability or less yet, the number of 600/1000 yd matches shot, have to do with ones abilities to observe and comment on obvious errors by the board ?

Mike RBD is the shooter who got the record in the other thread. If he followed the rules he would not have that record but he feels he deserves it.It wasn't his fault but it wasn't anybodies fault at the nationals either Right Bruce?

Jerry
Tom P. is pulling your targets.
All kidding aside I posted the rules here earlier but I don't know if they got deleted. The longrange chairman is Karl Hunstiger and as he is in charge of all things Longrange he should be able to answer all your questions.

Your question was who's posts should I pay attention to and my answer remains the same.I am no longer a member because the nbrsa doesn't follow its own by-laws/rules and didn't want the world wide web knowing how they handle THERE mistakes. The good ole boys didn't think anybody would post how they conduct themselves at a match. You probaly didn't think anybody would report about your tainted record either.
Lynn

rbd,
you can obviously shoot well. thats good. what is not good is that you seem to qualify for a board position..."i don't follow the rules and a gain form this practice".....
i think you should listen to lynn, get some character back in your bones and decline the record.
atleast now i know who not to listen to.

mike in co

lynn,'
isn't not following the rules for record targets and accepting a national record for such behavior be DOCUMENTATION of bad character ?

just thinking out loud....

Lou
You can call me an idiot to my face at the nationals in front of all the other shooters okay buddy. You can bring Don with you as well tough guy.

Mike if you notice Lou is still working on damage control.

Are you kidding me?
I was given a Rubber Mallet by the late Clifford "Skip" Talbot who founded the nbrsa longrange game and his name is on our national trophy.
He gave me the mallet he himself used during matches to open his bolt at the top of the throw because he weighed 130 pounds with 50 of that being the keys he wore on his belt.
As you know I don't have a fully functioning right hand due to an injury so Skip gave me the rubber mallet so I wouldn't have to use my left hand aor stand up to clear the action after each shot.
You nor anybody else has ever seen me use a hammer on a bolt.It is a long lost myth started by Ed Eckhoff when I would open my 300 Ackley at the top of the throw on rare occasion do to my bad hand. You got something against crippled people?
Anyway the club didn't like the fact I was using my rubber mallet to settle my guns in the bags so they banned hammers/mallets or anything heavy. It was to save the bench tops it what I was told and I followed the rules.
If you look back several years here you will see many posts from myself asking for longer bolt handles.I certainly didn't think being crippled up was cause for concern I just wanted to be able to open my guns with a bad hand.

You are the last person on earth to come on this forum and say anything about the rules.
Didn't you take home your targets for a couple weks the submit them for a world record? Do you want me to tell everybody the story?
Lynn

bruce,
if you care for the organization, why would you lower its credibility by claiming a world record that was clearly in violation of the rules ?
you seem to speak from both sides of your mouth ....
so again we ask the same question...did you or did you not have the "world record" targets in you posession anytime prior to thier submission for the record ??
and again a simple yes or no will do.....
miike in co.....

Of course, Lynn, Lou is working on damage control.

He cares for the organization.

As do I.

Because it's brought me so much pleasure shooting with a great bunch of guys.

I'm not certain what you care about.

I'm pretty certain it's not the rules.

I mean, well, haven't I seen you use a hammer to open your bolt?

A hammer?

What kind of outfit is that?
