I am a devoted Antiques Roadshow watcher. Last night they were in Dallas TX. One of the people had brought in a beautiful toy train made in the later 1800's. Genuine steam power locomotive.

The maker was Beggs Machine. Proprietor: Eugene Beggs.

It must be in the -------------- [ get ready for it !!!!!! :p ]

Ray, how interesting? Maybe I'm a reincarnate, a clone or something; huh? :D

For most of my life, I thought I was the only Gene Beggs in the world, but after Al Gore invented the internet, I discovered there are at least two others.

Actually, my name is George Eugene Beggs. Family and friends called me Eugene until I was a teenager, when it was shortened to Gene. As an adult this has caused great confusion. I have sometimes heard such as,

"Now boy,,, just who the hell are you; what is your real name, how many aliases do you have, etc., etc."

Oh well,, the Army solved all that; to them, I was simply Beggs. :D

Later,

Beggs
