Friday May 20 is practice day for the East Texas Championship Match.
I have decided to do two things different this year.
First, Friday will also be a swap meet during the practice time. Bring whatever you want to sell or trade, let's stick to gun related stuff.
Second, Friday night after the practice is over and the rifles are put up, I am providing supper at the range. We will serve Gumbo with rice and crackers. The caterer who is cooking the ribeyes for Saturday makes a mean gumbo too. My idea is to have a BS session with supper instead of everyone going and sitting in a motel room and watching Dancing With The Stars. Adult beverages will be allowed after the practice is over and all guns secured. I hear the short range shooters talking about the good old days when this was a common event at the matches. Gives us a few more hours to visit with folks we only see three times a year.
Third, Friday is my daughters 20th birthday. Presents of jewelry, furs, automobiles, money will be allowed.
Don't miss out on the fun.
