Donald Gentner Passed On

I'm sad to inform that my good friend Don Gentner passed on last night, 7-7-15 after a prolonged illness. We knew it was coming but when it happens it's really upsetting. For those that would like to send on a note or card to Don's wife Betty; her address is 109 Woodlawn Ave. Upper Darby, PA 19082.

Sad to hear the news of Don's passing. He was a good friend and taught me early on about benchrest shooting.

He use to stay at our house in the Outer Banks and loved to surf fish.

He and his family will be in our prayers!

Prayers to the family..........

Meet don a few times we didn't know each other to well but we would carry on a conversation like old friends, from music to shooting. Sorry for the loss to the family and to the benchrest friends he had over the years

We are diminished. Don seemed to be liked by all who knew him. May he rest in peace and condolences to all his family and friends. James Mock

Don and I liked the same music; we often made copies for each other of what we had. Yesterday I received a new tube amp for my system. Today I'm gonna play Don's fav's so even he can hear them.

I'm sure Don will love the sound that your phones and tubes will produce. Crank it up to 10 for him. It seems like I remember he liked Floyd........ So if you have either Animals or Dark Side I'm sure he will like that. Animals is my fav by them

I really don't know why we all liked Don - but we did! I never shot his bullets but often got beat by them.

Don was a genuine "Benchrest Trooper", and while he hasn't been mentioned in a bit, we all know who he was and are diminished by the loss.....I know I am.

Rest in Peace, Don

Don was a very passionate man. And that came through in everything he did. He would always engage you in whatever the topic or situation happened to be. I shot his bullets early in my time at this and won my first two gun with them. I don't who was happier, him or me! It was sad to watch him decline like this and although this week's news was not unexpected, it was still a shock to lose a pillar of the BR community like him.

RIP Don, and say hi to Micky Coleman and Ed Watson for us. I'm sure these guys will have a beautiful range waiting for the rest of us someday. And great bullets too! .... Scott

Mr. Donald Gentner

His 65 grain BT bullets are the best bullets I have ever used.
Thank you.
RIP Mr. Gentner.

Sorry to hear about Don, but knew it was coming.
Like a wise man once said, "There are worse things than dying".

Oh man, what a shame...

Always enjoyed my time with Don and looked forward to spending time with him at tournaments. Shot a lot of Don's bullets and still have a few...I'll use them at my next tournament.

Wish Betty and family peace, strength and good memories during this difficult time. So long Don and may your journey be an easy one...they'll have the lights on for you.
