Al, I believe that there was a noted stock painter from your neck of the woods by the name of Scott Minot. He did some stocks that he called "cracked granite" that were superb. I haven't heard anything about him in several years....so I don't know if he still paints stocks or not. James MockThanks Tim
Last time I tracked your gun down I forgot/lost the name.......and yes, I've tried every motorcycle/hotrod airbrush artist within 100 miles and they're unable to make me happy. There is a guy in Idaho who does hairy things (gorillers, snasquatches and such) perty good but no scaley artists to be found here.
Thanks

The painter's name is Alton Gillispe. I do not know his whereabouts or if he is still painting. Another stock I had painted was a double headed dragon on my original benchrest rifle. You probably haven't seen it but it is of a comparable quality. That painter's name was Von Otto. I also have lost tract of him. John Jones a shooter from Tomball Texas knew Alton but said he doesn't know his whereabouts. I suggest you inquire about painters at a motorcycle shop specializing in custom motorcycles. They may be able to put you in touch with a good airbrush artist. Tim
