I hope so, I plan on being there Friday as well.

I just checked the weather forcast. It looks like it is going be a great week end, but a little cold Sun Morning.

I haven't seen you in a while. I will have my new Dachund puppy with me........jackie

I'll be at the range after 1:00 Fri . Mike Conley said he would be there around 8 0r 9 am. The front gate will be open and if anyone will be getting there after dark let me know - my cell is 804 244 1718 . We have the sign in sheet back at the Rifle range so come on back and sign in there. [ this is to cover liability]. The elec by the pistol range is active - 30 amp.

I also spoke with J Conley yesterday and he is trying to be there by noon. We all still need to check in at the office and sign in and pay the practice fee for the day of $13.00
And I was told that they don't want you shooting untill that memmber member is there if you are using there card number......

That's Fine. Heck, I feel fortunate that we even have a place to shoot Registered Matches. Obeying and abiding by some simple club rules is not too much to ask.........jackie

New instructions

When coming in on Friday just go to the rifle range. I have arranged for a signup sheet to be down there so stopping at the club house is not needed.

I have also received some calls about the $13 fee for Friday. The benchrest club is a club inside the NTSA main club. The BR club is charged $13 per day per shooter by the main NTSA. That is why there is a Friday fee.

Jon Conley is the match director. I am the NTSA president currently. Jon has advertised this match for $40 per day. The NBRSA allows $50 per day. According to Scott Hunter, we are the only GCR club not charging $50. Jon made the decision to only charge $40 for the match and collect $13 from the Friday shooters. The alternative is charge $50 and eat the Friday fee. It seems my math says that everyone gets off cheaper the way he is doing it. It takes a pretty good chunk of cash to put on a shoot. At $40, we have to have 25 shooters to break even. NTSA rules require the BR club to break even at year end or it will be abolished. ALL clubs within NTSA must stand on their own or die.

Let's all show up, have a good match and not worry about the little things. I dont know about your lives, but mine is much too hectic to let a few little things make it any worse. See you this weekend and drive carefully.

Jackie, my wife isn't going with me this time, so I won't have our dog with me to play with your new pup. Glad you got a new one, I know how attatched you were to your other. See you Friday and by the way, do we need to put a wrecker on standby for you?

Pup

Hey Jackie
Good thing it's still a pup and he/she is low to the ground, maybe there wont be much chance of him blowing over this weekend........
See you in Denton !

Fyi/btt

Jackie Schmidt and Gene Bukys will not compete in this weekends match at Denton due to work related issues.

Yuck

Well, as Rosannn Rosanadana used to say, "it's always something".

One of our best customers got a 2000 hp Tug windbound down at the Texas City Cut, and tore up a lot of underwater running gear. I just got back from surveying it, and needless to say, I will not be going anywhere this week end.

I hope everybody has a good time, and shoots some great aggs.........jackie

Jackie

Wind gusts are only 33 mph on Saturday
Sunday only 40 mph.

This should be fun.

Wind driven bullets

Does that mean we get an allowance for hitting our neighbors target? :D

"Where are we going and why am I in this basket?"

I know how it goes

Hey I know how it goes and I'm not crying in my beer yet but try not making a match for about 2 years due to work !!!
Now that will make one get ugly !!!!!
Sorry to hear that both Gene and jackie wont be up here to share in the Denton Wind Tunnel Shoot.

if we dont shoot good we can alway go para-sailing.....

Do you think more neck tension will help? I am going anyway. Already made plans. What the heck, it is always windy in Texas. I like the matches in Denton and the folks there.
