Deleting account

I was unable to find a method to delete my login so I sent an email requesting same. Might be helpful if that capability was provided in the user control panel.

Gentleman Your Help Is Needed

Tonight my son and I were too work on some brass for an upcoming event.After we had returned from dinner my son went online to see if any new posts were up for his viewing pleasure.He stood up mumbled a couple illegible words and fainted upon the floor.I poured cold water on him but something is severely wrong.He keeps mumbling something about J.P. agrees with me and then he passes out again.

Adamsgt you should stay. Wildcatters views are in the minority on this forum. There are quite a few veterans on this forum who would agree with you and disagree with him.

I spent 24yrs in the Army, just retired barely a year ago. Don't let the little ones run you off. Heck, I spent three solid months in the Hospital upon my last return from overseas and the very first time I went to Bloomington, Indiana upon my arrival home (first day) there were war protestors on the steps of the county courthouse calling us baby killers and tortures...etc. And do you know what I say to that now.....remove all warning labels off of hair dryers, toasters, etc because if people want to make toast in the shower....let them...we'd have a lot less liberals and war protestors as they fall into that catagory...

I do not think it is possible to "Delete" an account. A poster can be banned - but that's not appropriate here.

Once registered, and particularly once a post has been made - those things are in the "official record" and will stay there, whether the member is active, banned, or just never comes back.

It's not like you payed money for it and would like a refund, all membership "costs" is the time you put into it - cease those "payments" and it ceases to matter.

As a twice time vet of Vietnam, wildcatter is right when he writes about WAR is rotten, about the rest, it ain't just the Christmas turkey that is full of chit.

So what? He is allowed to write what he wants for a while longer until Obama's totalitarian government stops free speech all together.

We all get hot under the collar some times, I admit a lot more since the new lawn jockey got in office.:mad:

You're absolutely right. My bad. I received a very nice email from a member on another part of the planet encouraging me to make a "just ignore" list. Sound advice. It's not my prerogative to be a policeman. I would really miss all the valuable information that passes through this site.

I like to say that being offended is a decision, you choose to be offended. Well, I fell into that trap myself. Best to let another persons words speak for themselves. Truth will out.

Thanks to those of you who encourage me to remain.

I don't talk politics or religon on gun forums because all of the opposing views are naturally wrong and the original poster then becomes annoying.

I too have been caught up in the ranting and raving with a former member back around election time.

One must be careful to not get caught up emotionally or personally when something is put on these threads. I feel it is better to disregard the statement than to get in a pissing match over not much at all.

We all remember Mr. D. I am as guilty as many others here in trouncing him at any given instance and many times over. It really accomplished nothing more than him leaving, but prior to that he pissed a lot of us off. Again better off not even responding to him.

It is much easier to discuss a situation based on facts and personal experience and be careful what we type. Don't post immediately, go back reread the post and see if it truly conveys your thoughts. If it does not, delete the post and go look at something else.

Never argue with an idiot in public, those that are watching may not know who is and who's not.

I will put my soap box up for now, and glad you are staying as well. I believe we all have something to give to this forum and I know personally I have gained much from being here.
