Does any body know where I can get a Davidson (or other brand) magazine follower for a SAKO Mdl.75 Var. .223?
I think thats what its called.....blocks the magazine top, and essentially make the rifle a single shot.

Thanks

Recently I saw in Sinclair's catalog followers and some Sako models were listed.

Followers for Sako model 75 was not listed. I have no idea whether another Sako model follower could be modified to work.

Persons at Sinclair's Tech Line may be able to answer questions on specific Sako model availability or if modification is possible.

Good Luck! Hope this helps!

Regards.

There is a company in Albuquerque that probably has those. They also sell bedding kits & other stuff, just can't remember their name right now (Score High, maybe?). I have several for the Sako L-461 & 579 from them.

Thanks guys, but......

The only ones I could find were in the Sinclair Catalog, and they do not offer any type of follower for rifles with a detachable magazine.

I'm still thumbing through Bownells (alot of stuff to go through)

Joe:
If you can find the name of that company, that woud be great.

Thanks
Jeff

It is Score High Gunsmithing: http://www.scorehi.com/ . Don't know about the box mag, you will have to call them. Good luck.

Thanks Joe.

Thats the same company that Sinclairs sells - but I'll call High Score and see if they have a model for the detachable mags.

Just went to thier sight:

"NOTE: We developed our line of Sako followers well before Sako manufactured the Model 75 or their line of rifles with detachable magazine boxes, except for the very old Riihimaki models, while followers for some action models with detachable boxes may work , they were not designed for them and may not work well"

If a follower is made for a Sako model 75, I don't think it would work by placing in magazine.

Follower would have to be glued in, and modification would have to be made to magazine to sit below follower and install in rifle.

I could be wrong.

just a suggestion

most of the score-hi single shot followers are a piece of flat aluminum with a dished out area for the cartridge to sit in and align the bullet tip with the feed ramp to the chamber. if the sako 75 has a removable magazine why couldnt a machinist make a faux clip out of a block of nylon or delrin in the shape of the magazine with the flat top and a dished out feeding trough machined in that. if modeled after the clip it should clip in like your magazine and feed like a single shot. then it could be removed like a clip and other magazines could be used if you desired a repeater action again. just food for thought. I've got an Original Bob Sled single shot adapter for my CZ 527, and think that they'd be about the only thing that would work in your Sako. Unfortunately I can't find the phone number or e-mail of the guy who makes them. I'll try to find it tonight.

That would be much appreciated;)

Gawd a'mighty! I finally remembered where I'd seen the article that mentioned the Bob Sled single shot adapter, then it took me a while to find the issue of Precision Shooting with that article.

Anyway Bob Hahn's phone number is 510-334-0738, and his e-mail is rghahn@juno.com.

You'll have to call of e-mail him to see if he makes a single shot adapter for your rifle, or can make one.

Good luck and good shooting!

If you could post what you find out, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!
