CZ-550 Varmint, 308 Skid Plate?

Have been working up some hand loads that are showing real promise in my CZ-550 Varmint, 308 Win, Kevlar stock.

This 5-shot 100 yard group was with Federal 30-06 brass resized to 308 Win, with both the necks reamed and the OD of the necks turned, shooting 168 gr. Berger VLD's over 42.0 gr. Varget, Federal LR primers, seated with bullets touching the lands. Chrony at about 2560 fps.

The factory stock single set trigger has been swapped out for a 2# Timney trigger, and these were shot off off a very low-tech front rest with rear bag.

The CZ has two front swivel studs, one for sling and second for bipod, I suppose. Both have been removed for use with the sporter front rest. My hope is to figure out a way to attach a skid plate to the fore stock of the CZ so that my next round of testing (50 rounds of the re-sized Federal 30-06 brass vs 50 rounds of Lapua brass, both once fired and reloaded to the same as above) can be shot from a Sinclair windage top on a true BR front rest.

Wondering if anyone here has done something similar with a CZ stock or can point me to a source for a skid plate that might be fitted to the CZ. Thanks.

SGJ:

Thanks much. Exactly what I was looking for, but guess I was using the wrong search terms. Of course I have the 3" Edgewood bag on my BR front rest, so the Hart 3.5 inch won't fit properly and the Sinclair 3" version is out of stock. (Sigh).

Guess I will back order the Sinclair version and wait. . .

Thanks again, just the same.
