Does any one know where i can find a culver comversion for my lyman 55
. any ideas will help. thanks

I bought one of the originals off of ebay last year. Works great.
Jerry Hensler used to make them also. As far as I know he no longer does but you can on occasion find one of his around.

I think there is a Lyman 55 with Culver conversion by Neil Jones in the classifieds.......Ian
Neil Jones made a Lyman 55 conversion just exactly like the Culver except Homer 's had a straight knurl on the dial and Neils has a diamond knurl. I have a couple of the old Jones/Lyman 5 conversions and they work to the 1/10 like my Culver does.

Call Neil Jones, he still makes a custom stainless steel bodied measure but it uses the same cylinder. He might just sell you a separate cylinder.

Edit-BTW, I have an extra pill bottle adapter made by Wally Hart I'll sell you if you need it ($25). It is the type held in by set screws. There was one type pill bottle adapter sold where the Lyman 55 had to be chucked in a lathe and threaded. It was a B**** to set up for threading. The Jones in the classifieds for $125 is the deal though.

Jerry's conversion was not a "Culver" type. It was his own design based on a different principal. It worked great.

A guy at the "Crawfish" in Tomball,Tx had one for sale. It had the Hensler conversion cylinder and the original Culver cylinder. The body was painted green.

If I remember correctly, he wanted $250.00 for the package.
