South Looserana is a great place, No?

In Montana east of the Rockies we use a heavy chain since rope tends to stand out straight when it's breezy (Weather Bureau description!), so something heavier is needed for when it really blows. Otherwise the conditions noted are the same.

In southwest Kansas they always told me it wasn't real windy till it started whipping links off the end of the chain.

It has been over 100 degrees way too many days, ain't life wonderful.

So far the closest to 100 we've had so far is mid 90's, and today (12 Aug) it may get up to the high 60's. But we have lots of clouds and wind. Today's paper here assured us that the global warming predictions of the IPCC in 2007 were spot on.

We had a little wind blow thru last night, turned some glass jugs inside out. Cooled down a bit though. At a picnic a few days ago I got a helping of tater salad, before I got to a table and sat down the heat had turned them into hash browns.

We musta' had that same wind.... couldn't find the banty rooster this morning, he sounded far away.

Finally found him, he'd got blown into a bleach jug. Had to cut him out.

He was disgusted.
