Cool acres had their first IBS 1000yd match Sept.24. Match 1 and 2 was shot, and went well and ran smooth, with some heavy gun groups in the low 5 inches and light gun had a 2.6 inch and a 3.0 inch group. Had 9 shooters total and 6 of the shooters was from N.C. Matches 3 and 4 will be held on October 15. Everyone is invited and will be shooting pits and shooting off of concrete benches. Thanks

I'm glad you guys had a good shoot, and I wish I could have been there. Aside from conflicts, going to Swainsboro means not being able to sleep in my own bed for at least one night, so it will take a special match for me to come.

But that's a tired old man talking. I think you're going to be successful. You're with driving distance of a lot of people who, before now, didn't really have access to 1,000 yard benchrest. It may take a bit of time, but I'll bet your participation curve has a steady, almost limitless, upward slope.
