Come Ups

Could someone recommend me a Ballistic Table were I can get some come-ups for my new loads??

I have been doing a lot of load testing trying to get a good load for a match--my first match--next month. Today I finally found a load two actually that I would be happy shooting in a match. Trouble is all my load work-up is done at 350 or 400 yds the only two distances I have available to me. The match is shoot at 500 yds, a club match. I would like to go down for that match being at least on paper.

The load is for my 6mmBR, the two loads that really shined for me today were: 28.5 grains of RL 15, a Berger 105 grain VLD bullet, this showed a velocity average of 2862 FPS, averaged over 10 shots. This load shot a group --one 3 shot group of 3/4 X 7/8 of an inch at 350 yds and a 3 shot group at 400 yds of 5/8ths X 7/8ths. I then shot a 5 shot group at both distances that almost duplicated the three shot groups. I tried in half grain increase's all the way up to 31 grains of RL15 but in all of those the groups opened up some.

The other load was 30.5 grains of Varget, this was the hottest of the Varget loads interesting that the RL15 was the lightest in that powder, and the Varget shot best at the Highest amount of that powder. The varget load went 3012 FPS using the same Berger bullet the 105 "VLD" which has a BC of .493.

If you know of a Ballistic program were I can figure some come ups that would be great....

As an example I made a drop chart for my 6mm Norma BR. for a custom turret. My rifle has a 26" barrel and my zero is at 200 yds. with a 20 MOA rail. I shoot the Berger 105 Hunting Match VLDs with 30.0 gr. of Varget. At 300 yds. the 105s drop 8 inches from my 200 yd. zero. At 400 yds. they drop 21.5 inches. I do not know what the drop is past 400 because I got my custom turret which is accurate and only goes out to 900 yds. When I used the JBM program for my come ups for 1,000 yds. it said 27 MOA times 4 which is 108 clicks. The first 3 sighter shots that I ever shot at paper at 1,000 yds. was a 4.25 inch group and I only needed 1 (1/4 MOA click) left and the same up to get me in the blue center of the 1,000 yd. target.

If you put in the correct data it will get you very close. :D

PS: I just wish I could get a 10 shot or even a 5 shot group down to 4.25 inches. The last time I shot my smallest group was 8+1/8".
The scores & group sizes are in the lower right of target.
