Hello,
The componentry is coming together for a long range rifle. I have a BMster Class long range benchrest stock, a 1.5 diameter, full length .338 barrel, 33 inches long and a Kelbly tactical action. Both the foreend of this stock and the length of this barrel are longer than I have dealt with previously. Twenty years ago I saw barrel bedding blocks and wonder how advanced they have become in all this time? I would appreciate any serious insights as to up to date methods for bedding this, the longest, heaviest barrel I have ever owned.
Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

a benchrest rifle or ???
i shoot 600/1000 benchrest in nbrsa and ibs,
and 2000 yd group/score at 2000 with a 338 edge...sorta min for the class.
the winners are at 11-12" and pretty much in the middle of the target
