Everybody seems so concerned about how many rounds you get to fire. 1,000 yard BR has always taken a hit because, say, in LG, you could fire only five rounds and be done -- unless you win
Then, in the Hog Roast thread, there was bantering about the number of shots you get to fire, group versus score...
So I got to thinking, how to maximize the number of shots to keep everyone happy, while still having a match where you would not have to rent a room for a week.
So ideally, with an automatic weapon in the *precise* mode, you shoot three-round bursts. Conventionally, that would be 15 rounds per target, right? And since the goal with each burst is to be effective, you would then score the target by counting only the five best shots, either group or score.
I guess in unlimited it should be 30-rounds per target instead of 15, score the best 10?
That would make a conventional group match consists of 375 rounds. Score suffers a little, but you could do a 2-gun or 2-yardage for 150 rounds...
Would that make everyone happy?
