We had 13 lucky shooter for our June Score match. Weather was HOT. The wind was mild, or at least it seemed, as it was so hot that only a good 20mph breeze could have made it bearable.
We shot 200 yards first, as is our custom. We had 7 shoots stay clean through the yardage. As I said, the wind was cooperative and made for easy shooting as long as you could keep the sweat out of your eyes.
1st place Dave Rabin 250-13X
2nd place Scott Dittman 250-13X
3rd place Bill Dittman 250-12X
Factory class was lead by Hal Barnes 229-3X
So we moved the targets a little closer and tried again. We had 5 shooters that stayed clean through the entire grand agg.
100 yards
1st Place Chris Gibby 250-22X
2nd place Jim Andress 250-19X
3rd place Miles Gibby 250-18X
Factory winner was Don Greene 231-1X
This gave us the grand agg results:
1st Chris Gibby 500-30X
2nd Scott Dittman 500-28X
3rd Miles Gibby 500-27X
and the Factory Winner was Hal Barnes 458-4X
Bill Dittman wins the heartbreak award as he shot a 499-31X with an unexplained 9 at 100 to ruin his day. He sure was shooting good.
Congratulations to Chris Gibby on a fine win. I shot the bench next to Chris and enjoyed the time. Chris is a great guy, a great competitor, and a great shooter.
He beat me like a rented mule.
Hope to see you all back next month.(even you Chris)
